Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Development Representative to join our team at Berendsen Fluid Power. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technical solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, identifying opportunities to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Technical Solutions: Provide technical solutions to meet customer needs, including designing and implementing hydraulic and electrical system solutions.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain advanced knowledge of Berendsen Fluid Power's product offerings and customer systems functionality.
  • Travel Requirements: Frequent travel requirements (up to 50% with some overnight stays) to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with Berendsen Fluid Power's support team to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Project Management: Engage in project and time management tasks to ensure timely completion of sales objectives.
  • System Start-ups and Troubleshooting: Conduct system start-ups and troubleshooting to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Design and Engineering: Assist in designing hydraulic and electrical schematics with Berendsen Fluid Power's engineering support.
  • Customer Reporting: Generate and submit regular customer reports to ensure accurate tracking of sales performance.
  • System Pricing: Provide system pricing in alignment with Berendsen Fluid Power's guidelines.
  • Home Office Setup: Operate and maintain a home office setup to ensure efficient work execution.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or other technical field, or over 10 years of experience in a relevant technical field.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and a focus on results.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to learn quickly through targeted research and efficiently apply specific conclusions from problem-solving situations to broader applications.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while also remaining productive during slower-paced times.
Preferred Technical Proficiencies
  • Fluid Power Experience: In-depth experience in fluid power, CFPHS certification is a plus.
  • Electrical Controls: Proficiency in electrical controls and power electronics.
  • CAD Software: Familiarity with AutoCad LT, CAD software, and schematic design tools.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Reporting and Collaboration

This role reports to the Field Sales Manager and requires close collaboration with Berendsen Fluid Power's internal support team and our vendors. Ideal candidates should be proactive self-starters with a fervent interest in developing customer-centric solutions.
