Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems on various types of equipment, including tires, ready-mix concrete trucks, and heavy construction equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and reduce downtime.
- Inspections and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of equipment and prepare detailed reports on maintenance and repairs performed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with drivers, plant managers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Technical Skills: Possess a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment, as well as work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in temperature and weather conditions.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and physical demands.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and a hard hat, to ensure a safe working environment.
