Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at The Norland Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to manufacture metal parts, mechanisms, and tools to exacting tolerances and dimensions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine the sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
  • Operate CNC Mills and machine programming software, as well as manual mills and lathes.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
  • Familiarity with 2D drawings and work instructions is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in machining and metal fabrication.
  • Familiarity with CNC Mills and machine programming software.
