Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Chipton Ross Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience working with machine tools, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and precision grinders, to produce metal parts and mechanisms.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine the sequence of operations and method of setup.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and machinist hand tools to measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points.
  • Familiarity with CNC Mills and machine programming software is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and work instructions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in machining.
  • Familiarity with manual mills and manual lathes.
  • Ability to work in a 9/80 workweek schedule.
