Job Title: MRI Technologist - Travel

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

About the Job

This is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours of work per week, requiring a 12-hour shift, days. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and hold ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, as well as state-specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as needed.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance.
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Assist radiologists with procedure performance.
  • Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed, and follow protocol.
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and sequence exposure, labeling appropriately.
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience.
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging.
  • State-specific licensing when required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
