Job Description

Job Summary: Precision Security Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
  • Screen and conduct metal detector wanding and bag checks to ensure no contraband is being brought to the site
  • Deny access to unauthorized personnel and secure the site and prevent vandalism and theft
  • Assist with emergencies and building evacuations
  • Utilize reporting systems and contact appropriate parties for site situations
  • Utilize closed-circuit camera systems and review footage to maintain awareness of the site and its property
  • Issue, maintain, and facilitate badge access for your site
  • Maintain confidentiality of all activities within your site
  • Utilize verbal judo to de-escalate situations
  • Utilize minimal use of force unless the individual poses an imminent physical danger to themselves, someone else, or you
  • Maintain a professional and conservative demeanor at all times
  • Follow SOPs at assigned site
  • Follow, communicate, and enforce local laws and regulations
  • Be prepared to assist first responders in the event of a crisis or emergency

Requirements:

  • 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Pass extensive background check
  • Eligible to legally use a firearm
  • Previous firearm experience
  • Pass drug screen immediately upon hire
  • Able to work the posted hours without modification

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to train and become certified to use an approved firearm
  • Able to use/maintain/operate/manipulate firearm, handcuffs, and other issued gear
  • Able to stand for up to eight hours at a time
  • Able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course
  • Able to walk up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
  • Able to wear proper uniform and issued gear for the entire duration of your assigned shift

Pay and Benefits:

  • This site pays $22.00/hour
  • This is a W2 position
  • Employees who work 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits

Hiring Process:

  • Your application will consist of a resume and a Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Assessment
  • Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes and assessments to identify candidates who align well with our company's needs
  • If your resume and assessment stands out, you will receive a call for an initial phone screen
  • Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members
  • Should you advance past this stage, a job offer will be extended to you no less than 24 hours later
  • After the offer is accepted, we conduct a background check and proceed with online onboarding
