Job Summary:

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a qualified Armed Security Guard to join our team at the Chesapeake Bay Detachment. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our personnel and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with contract, Post Orders, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Be proficient with weapons and pedestrian/vehicle entry/exit access procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude
  • Respond to alarms and incidents as appropriate
  • Perform regular patrols and inspections of the facility
  • Monitor security cameras and report any suspicious activity
  • Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination and annual fitness test
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Guard/Clearance card
  • Gun/OC/Baton permit
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification

Work Environment:

The Security Guard will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to changing situations. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The Security Guard must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No supervisory responsibilities.
