Job Overview:
The Alarm Systems Specialist is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and installation of a variety of alarm systems and electronic devices, ensuring compliance with manufacturers' guidelines and industry standards.
The systems and devices handled include fire alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, automatic entry systems, electric gates, and vehicle traffic control systems, among others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on alarm systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on electronic safety devices.
- Install new alarm systems in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure all work meets National Fire Protection Association standards.
Qualifications:
- A valid state driver's license is required.
- Ability to obtain a flight line driving permit.
- CPR Certification is necessary.
- NICET Level 2 certification is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a military or civilian environment.
- Proficient knowledge of addressable fire alarm systems, suppression systems, FM radio transmissions, and security measures.
- Capability to work at heights using ladders and other equipment.
- Familiarity with solid-state and conventional control security systems.
- Strong teamwork skills and effective communication abilities.
Additionally, candidates must possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand American English at an eighth-grade level to comprehend safety and environmental warnings.
