Job Summary

As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general cleaning duties in offices and common areas, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, emptying recycling and waste receptacles, and cleaning interior and exterior windows.
  • Regularly monitor all areas for needed custodial and/or maintenance work.
  • Attend training, safety, and other related meetings.
  • Assist with setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and/or events.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or 10th grade equivalency and one year work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to perform the following functions frequently: bending, pushing, twisting, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead.
  • Ability to perform duties that require standing and walking for most of the work shift.
  • Ability to work in an environment with the following: fumes from cleaner, heavy dust areas, and odors normally associated with custodial work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning products and techniques.
  • Knowledge of the safe operation of power cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and buffers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
