Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laborer (Motor Vehicle Operator) to join our team at the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC). As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in providing essential services to our customers and supporting the success of our Retail Dining, Retail Services, and Laundry Services divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate gasoline, diesel-powered, and electric vehicles to transport goods and equipment
  • Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, chairs, and equipment
  • Assist with inventory counts and stockroom organization
  • Load and unload merchandise and equipment, including heavy laundry and dry-cleaning bags
  • Deliver laundry and dry-cleaning bags, garments, and bundles to designated locations
Requirements
  • Valid state-issued driver's automobile license with no points or infractions on DMV record
  • Ability to lift and carry bags, bundles, or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Experience working in a retail environment, preferably with experience in receiving
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment with moderate exertion required at infrequent intervals. The position requires constant walking and lifting.
