Electrical Design Engineer

As a critical member of our team at SITE Staffing, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the development of new products. This role is essential in infusing our product design with innovative ideas and expertise. Your position as an Electrical Engineer will play a crucial part in keeping our products current and marketable.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Design and develop electrical systems for next-generation products.
• Improve the electrical design of existing products to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Support existing product lines by sourcing alternative components due to part obsolescence.
• Conduct engineering design verification, including writing and executing verification plans, and documenting results.
• Test and evaluate the co-existence of legacy and/or third-party products.
• Research design solutions for cost-effectiveness and optimize product development.
Basic Requirements and Skills
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience designing low-voltage digital and analog circuits.
• Experience developing electronic products that fit into custom enclosures.
• Familiarity with RF-based devices and systems.
• Ability to lay out printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Proficiency in circuit modeling and schematic capture.
• Proficient in using spectrum analyzers, digital signal generators, and other test equipment for module and system-level testing.
• Ability to translate product requirement specifications to design requirements and author engineering verification test plans.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
• Experience with BLE, LF communication, and/or flex circuit design is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the design and integration of single-chip, low-power wireless transceivers from TI, Silicon Labs, Freescale, Atmel, Analog Devices, Broadcom, Marvell, etc.
• Experience integrating embedded software (firmware).
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of applicable codes and standards, such as UL and IEEE.
• Ability to solder components to bare PCBs.
