Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Windemere (WNR). As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily laundry and linen cleaning to maintain a hygienic environment
  • Collect trash, disinfect can in and out, reline can, and dust high areas, walls, and lampshades
  • Refill paper towel and soap dispensers in sink area and refill hand sanitizer in every room
  • Disinfect high contact items, including remote controls, light switches, lamps, and call bells
  • Clean bathrooms using the 7-Step Process: collect trash, refill dispensers, sweep/dry mop floor, clean walls, disinfect toilet exterior, scrub bowl, and damp mop floor
  • Inspect rooms for quality control and restock housekeeping closet at the end of the day
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Interact with patients, residents, staff, government agencies, and the general public
  • Be exposed to infectious waste and disease
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs and move intermittently throughout the workday
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Excellent customer service and staff coordination skills
  • Experience in Medical or Hospitality preferred
  • Ability to read, write legibly, speak clearly, and understand the English language
  • Ability to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with staff and the general public
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
  • Ability to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
  • Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position
  • Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and hostile people
