Overview:


The Container Logistics Coordinator will oversee the strategic allocation of drivers and owner-operators for the transportation of containers between port locations and client facilities.


Responsibilities:
Facilitates load optimization, driver scheduling, and dispatch operations for the in-house owner-operator fleet and any subcontracted carriers.

Fosters positive and supportive relationships with all dispatchers and drivers.

Maintains open lines of communication regarding service challenges with facility departments.

Generates daily and weekly performance and KPI reports.

Administers and manages operational inputs to ensure driver settlements are processed efficiently through dispatchers and settlement teams.

Utilizes the Trinium system to resolve issues and document interactions.

Ensures sufficient sub-hauler availability to accommodate volume fluctuations.

Adheres to a specific escalation protocol in the event of significant service disruptions.

Responds promptly to the needs of drivers or carriers.

Ensures accurate and timely updates in the operational system regarding load statuses.

Assists in the rollout of Safety, Security, and Operational programs.

Guarantees the timely completion of daily and weekly operational tasks.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Port Drayage, specifically with ocean container drayage clients.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

At least 1 year of experience in the drayage or intermodal sector.

Understanding of customer service principles and practices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Effective listening abilities.

Team-oriented with a customer-centric approach.

Excellent time management capabilities.

Proficient in computer applications such as Outlook, Gmail, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Capacity to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Dependable individual with a professional demeanor, demonstrating reliability and timeliness.

Strong follow-up skills.

Experience with the Trinium Transportation Management System is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
