Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with leadership, physicians, and other employees to identify, research, investigate, and resolve regulatory compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures related to areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Manage and conduct internal compliance investigations, working in collaboration with compliance leadership, Legal Services, Human Resources, and outside counsel.
  • Partner with operational leaders to ensure that appropriate corrective action is taken.
  • Develop and implement a follow-up plan to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and operational leaders to determine appropriate discipline for caregivers found to have committed compliance violations.
  • Manage response to and documentation of external regulatory investigations, surveys, and audits related to areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Work in collaboration with operational departments to promote compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Monitor, analyze, interpret, and communicate regulatory changes related to areas of assigned responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or related field.
  • Typically requires 7 years of experience in planning and implementing large-scale projects that affect multiple departments and functions; implementing regulatory changes; identifying, investigating, and resolving complaints; and analyzing and interpreting regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Knowledge of health care operations and the revenue cycle.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and change management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities, including the ability to lead diverse work teams.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong skills in personal diplomacy with demonstrated ability to handle sensitive communications with leadership, physicians, management, legal counsel, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong organizational, time, and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently.
Working Conditions:

This position may require travel, which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards. The position is based in a normal office environment, and the incumbent may be exposed to normal hazards while in the health care facility environment.
