Responsibilities:

  • Assist servers during meal periods by removing extra settings, pouring water, refilling beverages, and keeping ice supplied.
  • Set up and maintain the expo and back stations, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Set tables with clean linen, china, glassware, and silverware, adhering to restaurant specifications.
  • Ensure furniture and floors are clean and arranged according to restaurant standards.
  • Prepare and break down the coffee and tea station, as well as cut lemons and prepare butter.
  • Preset bread baskets lined with napkins, prepare bread, and put bread in warmers.
  • Stock needed supplies, including expo and back stations, side stands, and refrigerators.
  • Set up and break down buffets for lunch and breakfast, maintaining cleanliness in the buffet area, refrigerators, hot and cold wells.
  • Pick up linen, fold napkins, polish silverware and glassware, and drop dirty linen in the laundry.
  • Replenish items at the end of the shift needed for the following day.
  • Assist the chef with prep items and dust all tables, including table legs.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • TABC and Food Handler certifications are required.
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire shift.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
