Job Summary

The Server Assistant is a key member of our food and beverage team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service in our assigned outlets. This role involves delivering food and drinks to guests, communicating with the kitchen and other servers, and maintaining the resort's standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Interact with guests when delivering food items, providing a warm and sincere welcome and farewell.
  • Communicate with the kitchen and other servers to ensure prompt delivery of food and resolve any guest issues.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of our menu, including liquor, beer, wine, and food offerings.
  • Ensure the upkeep of restaurant cleanliness, including clearing and resetting tables according to specifications.
  • Perform assigned side work and stocking supplies to maintain a well-stocked and organized workspace.
  • Assist bussers to ensure that tables are pre-bussed throughout the shift.
  • Remove plates and silverware from the table as guests are finished, ensuring silverware is polished and china and glassware are not chipped.
  • Work diligently to avoid breakage and loss, keeping refillable beverages always full.
  • Notify servers when bringing coffee, tea, or other beverages to tables to ensure proper charges.
  • Complete all opening, ongoing, and closing side work and manager on duty as signed off on work.
  • Stock and restock linens, glasses, plates, and saucers as needed.
  • Inform servers of any potential guest issues.
  • Remove dishes, glasses, silverware, or other items from tables and countertops and take them to the kitchen for proper sanitation.
  • Provide general resort information for guests, including amenities and special events.
Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent experience required.
  • Current Food Handler Certification and TABC required.
  • Prior food and beverage experience preferred.
  • At least six months customer service experience preferred.
  • Good food and service knowledge.
