Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with youth on a weekly basis in their homes and communities, focusing on personal wellness and coping strategies.
- Assist in identifying individualized goals and provide step-by-step support to achieve them.
- Help youth build social skills, improve their functioning in various environments, and enhance daily living skills.
- Facilitate access to educational and employment opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Peer Specialist (CPS) is required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable vehicle for local travel.
- Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week, including at least 3 evenings.
- Demonstrated stability in personal wellness and recovery, along with effective coping skills.
- Understanding of the cultural values and needs of Transition Age Youth.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and computer skills.
Job Functions:
- Participate in weekly supervision sessions.
- Attend necessary training to maintain CPS certification.
- Utilize office equipment for essential tasks and document activities accurately.
- Maintain organized program files and meet paperwork deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with youth and community representatives.
