Job Title: Payroll Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor to join our team at the State of Washington. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for overseeing the agency's payroll and benefit programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise personnel who perform payroll processing activities
  • Develop and evaluate payroll procedures, records, and reports
  • Collaborate with HR Operations Manager, Comptroller, and Chief Financial Officer to provide communication, consultation, and direction to HR and Payroll staff
  • Review and reconcile the agency payroll revolving fund monthly
  • Ensure payroll and employee benefits are processed timely and accurately
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting
  • Four years of accounting experience with at least two years of payroll experience
  • Three years of experience supervising staff
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of supervising payroll staff
  • Knowledge of Office of Financial Management rules and regulations
  • Experience with Human Resource Management System and Cross-Application Timesheet
