Medical Assistant Clinical Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Aspire Dermatology LLC.
Estimated Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
About the RoleThis is a dynamic opportunity for a motivated individual to provide exceptional patient care and support to our medical staff.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Verify patient information and record medical history
- Assist with daily tasks such as data entry into EMR during patient visits, answering phones, confirming insurance information, scheduling appointments, etc.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, prepare equipment & instruments by using proper sterilization techniques, and provide education on pre- and post-operative care instructions
- Clean and sanitize rooms, equipment and instruments as needed
- Maintain inventory and supplies for clinical areas
- Answer triage and routine phone calls from patients, pharmacies and referring providers
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Understanding demographics, insurance verification, prior authorization & referrals, collecting deductibles, co-pays & co-insurance, balancing cash drawer and reconcile end of day
- Entering lab results, calling patients, and answering patient calls regarding medications prior authorizations and lab results using EMR software
- Graduate of Medical Assisting Program, Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) OR: 1 years' experience as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology/Anatomy preferred
- CPT/ICD 10 coding
- Influenza and COVID19 vaccinations are mandatory
- Strong computer and customer service skills
- Ability to type 40 WPM while remaining proficient in spelling and grammar as a typing test will be given
- Reliable transportation is a must
- Attention to detail and ability to utilize skills interchangeably to all areas of medical practice
- Ability to understand and apply policies, procedures and protocols
- Ability to interact with patients, providers, supervisors and peers in a professional manner
