Key Responsibilities

The Real Estate Lending Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the real estate loan origination framework, which encompasses integration points and various platforms and applications utilized in the real estate lending process. This position involves:
  • Analyzing technical specifications and maintaining systems throughout their lifecycle while ensuring updated policies are in place.
  • Configuring and executing application modifications, enhancing performance and speed through plug-ins.
  • Recommending software acquisitions or updates, deploying system enhancements, and optimizing existing processes.
  • Reviewing system release notes and collaborating with management to implement necessary system or process-flow adjustments.
Impact Areas
  • Overseeing system enhancements by testing new functionalities, deploying them into the production environment, and communicating changes to end users.
  • Providing project support for strategic initiatives related to real estate lending, system upgrades, and integration of various business systems.
  • Focusing on operational analysis, data updates, reporting, and leveraging technology to enhance efficiencies, while maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring the integrity, performance, reliability, and security of all real estate lending systems, including timely updates and reviewing new features.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on real estate systems to assist in design and configuration efforts, providing training and support to maximize system functionality.
  • Collaborating with end users, analysts, and vendors to conceptualize new software integrations and applications by analyzing workflows and addressing current system challenges.
  • Supporting the development of technological solutions for processes by assisting in analysis and providing automation improvements.
  • Addressing organizational information challenges by applying project management methodologies to create and maintain business requirements documentation.
  • Offering first-level troubleshooting support for system issues and modifying system processes as needed to incorporate new features or resolve production challenges.
  • Providing expertise in real estate lending systems to the analyst team and management for developing necessary reporting and metrics.
Qualifications
  • Two to five years of progressively responsible experience as a real estate lending systems administrator in the mortgage or financial services sector.
  • A college degree in Finance, Management, Economics, MIS, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and influence others, requiring a high level of diplomacy and trust.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical users at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, along with basic SQL knowledge and superior time management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting issues and making informed recommendations.
  • Knowledge of real estate lending programs, products, policies, and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
