This role involves planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing complex large-scale projects to achieve organizational objectives. The perfect candidate will possess outstanding project management abilities, with a proven track record in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from conception to completion, involving internal teams, contractors, and vendors.

Location: This position is based in Newark, NJ. The qualified candidate must be local and available for in-office work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the field services team to create a timeline and facilitate the deployment of either a virtual Windows 11 upgrade for compatible devices or a hardware refresh for users with incompatible devices.
  • Establish a shared document repository, gathering business requirements from application services, infrastructure operations, desktop engineering, and information security.
  • Work alongside the desktop engineering lead to document testing protocols and pass/fail criteria, capturing test outcomes and maintaining them in a shared repository.
  • Maintain a RAID log and facilitate go/no-go decision-making processes.
  • Oversee Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities across support organizations in the service desk and technical support, while effectively communicating with business users in collaboration with our OCM team.
  • Direct project team members, manage budget and schedule, ensure compliance with contracts, and serve as the primary customer liaison.
  • Oversee technical, budgetary, and scheduling aspects of assigned tasks or functions.
  • Exhibit strong, proactive, and assertive leadership skills that engage multidisciplinary teams to address business needs for assigned projects.
  • Manage project teams that typically include multiple vendors with both onshore and offshore resources.
  • Create comprehensive project management plans, set expectations, conduct governance reviews, and ensure adherence to organizational procedures.
  • Ensure that requirements are gathered, documented, reviewed, and approved in accordance with organizational/PMO standards.
  • Deliver high-quality, informative written and verbal project communications, including weekly status updates, dashboards, and project reports.
  • Actively monitor, track, and manage project tasks, timelines, achievement of established milestones, and overall quality of project activities and deliverables, while providing monthly forecasts and accruals.

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 6+ years of robust Project Management experience.
  • Prior experience with Windows Upgrade projects.
  • Extensive Project Management experience managing Project Financials, Schedules, Scope, and Testing, with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of Project Management principles and Project Management Office operations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, partnerships, and external networks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively collaborate in a team environment while keeping the team informed.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills.
  • Strong research, decision-making, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and other relevant guidelines.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in the utility sector is preferred.

Position Details:

  • Pay Rate / Range: $40-$54.42

The above salary range represents the expected range for the position; however, final salary offers are based on various factors such as the position's responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, and skills, location, travel requirements, and current market conditions.
