About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our International Tax team at Walmart. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing practical and effective tax strategies for our global customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tax planning ideas to achieve team goals and contribute to well-informed decision-making in complex situations.
  • Manage the design and implementation of tax projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including tax, legal, and in-country tax teams.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of tax returns, forms, and audits by assessing tax work papers, rectifying deficiencies, and collaborating with auditors.
  • Manage and oversee state and federal income tax returns, forms, and reporting for international operations by gathering financial data from departments and divisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2 years' experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or a related area, or 4 years' experience in a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of international tax concepts and ability to apply knowledge to various situations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in complex areas.
  • Experience managing and collaborating with diverse and cross-functional teams.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering strong customer partnerships.
