Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our team at Walmart. As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of tax planning strategies, managing low- to medium-complexity federal and state tax returns, and providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and facilitate team training sessions on tax planning strategies and compliance.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.
  • Manage low- to medium-complexity federal and state tax returns, forms, and reporting of operations.
  • Support the development of tax planning strategies by providing business financial facts and researching tax rules related to the area managed.
  • Partner with stakeholders to determine opportunities for and ensure application of tax credits.
  • Support the execution of tax planning by updating tax analysis and working with tax leadership.
  • Communicate with impact to a range of audiences and demonstrate energy and positivity for own work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2 years' experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area.
  • License to practice law in at least one state (optional).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Certificate (optional).
