Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Services: Safely transport infants, children, and families in agency-owned school buses or vehicles to scheduled classroom sites and planned activities.
  • Assistance and Support: Provide assistance to safely help families and children transition to and from family residents, vehicles, and program sites.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned school bus to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Route Management: Travel established routes and utilize designated school bus stops.
  • Licensing and Compliance: Ensure legal requirements are met for the safe seating and transportation of infants, children, and families, and comply with Department of Transportation regulations and all traffic laws.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: Valid PA Commercial Driver License (CDL) B license with S-Endorsement required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. to assist children as needed and move equipment and materials.
  • Communication: Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
