Job Overview:
As a vital member of our organization, the Facility Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean and safe environment for all. This position is essential in maintaining the operational efficiency of our facilities, which cater to children with and without disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute daily cleaning tasks across various areas including classrooms, offices, restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
2. Responsibilities include:
- Emptying and sanitizing waste receptacles.
- Vacuuming carpets and mopping floors.
- Polishing and cleaning elevator components.
3. Conduct weekly cleaning duties, which encompass:
- Vacuuming upholstered furniture.
- Dusting and sanitizing electronic devices and surfaces.
4. Safely handle and utilize cleaning chemicals, adhering to safety protocols to protect personal and community health.
5. Perform routine maintenance on cleaning equipment, ensuring all tools are clean and properly stored.
6. Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including touch-up painting and light bulb replacements.
7. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Facility Maintenance Coordinator.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance or custodial services.
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
