Job Summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Orlando, FL. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting field maintenance and repairs to ensure the functionality of roadway systems and associated components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs of roadway assets, including drainage systems, asphalt and concrete paved surfaces, guardrails, vegetation, lighting, and roadway signs.
  • Work with and assist subcontractors as needed.
  • Conduct daily assessments of pavements, signs, guardrails, turf condition, vegetation, lighting, and other contract requirements.
  • Provide analysis of work needs based on condition assessments and contract performance requirements.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of roadway maintenance or other highway maintenance related experience.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial Driver License (CDL).
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicators License for Vegetation Management.
  • Intermediate or Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).
  • Heavy equipment operation experience.
  • Concrete forming experience.
  • DOT certifications in concrete, asphalt, soils, and compaction & inspection.
