Position Overview

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Palantir's personnel and infrastructure on a global scale. In this capacity, you will serve as the primary defense against potential threats to Palantir. Your team will oversee the continuous monitoring, identification, and analysis of security incidents and active threats across our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage systems and automation to detect, contain, and eliminate security threats.
  • Create alerting and detection protocols to recognize malicious or unusual activities.
  • Innovate defensive strategies to adapt to evolving adversary techniques and tactics.
  • Analyze network, host, memory, and other data from various operating systems and applications.
  • Conduct organization-wide operations to identify sophisticated and undetected threats.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow Information Security team members to enhance the company's network defense strategies.
Core Competencies
  • Comprehensive knowledge across various security domains, with a strong emphasis on forensics or threat intelligence.
  • In-depth experience in Incident Response or Detection Engineering.
  • Commitment to advancing the information security field through meaningful contributions (e.g., speaking engagements, publications, tool development).
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and standard protocols.
Qualifications
  • Significant security experience (3+ years) with at least one major platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Windows, OS X, Linux).
  • Proficiency in Python (preferred), PowerShell, or similar programming languages.
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI security clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $145,000 - $200,000 per year. Total compensation may also include Restricted Stock Units, sign-on bonuses, and other potential incentives.
