Palo Alto, California, United States xAI Full time
About xAI

xAI is a cutting-edge organization dedicated to developing AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and contribute to humanity's pursuit of knowledge.

Our team is comprised of highly motivated and skilled individuals who thrive on engineering excellence. We foster a culture of curiosity and encourage our engineers to work across multiple areas of the company, earning the title "Member of Technical Staff".

We operate with a flat organizational structure, where all employees are expected to be hands-on and contribute directly to the company's mission. Leadership is given to those who demonstrate initiative and consistently deliver excellence.

Effective communication is essential for our team's success. We expect all engineers and researchers to be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their colleagues.

xAI does not rely on recruiters. Every application is reviewed directly by a technical member of the team.

  • Administer and optimize tools like Okta, Rippling, GSuite, Notion, various cloud services, and Slack to enhance productivity and collaboration across global teams.
  • Ensure robust, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure. Manage employee laptops, focusing on top-notch security measures, and implement IT and InfoSec policies to safeguard xAI's information assets.
  • Streamline the processes for onboarding new employees and offboarding departing ones, ensuring efficient handling of IT resources and access rights.
  • Maintain excellent network connectivity in all offices for seamless work environments and uninterrupted virtual meetings.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec, Supercomputing, Leadership, and Networking teams to ensure integrated IT solutions that support xAI's mission to advance human scientific discovery.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments globally and convey complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
