POSITION SUMMARY:
The Resident Care Assistant (RCA) plays a vital role in delivering essential non-certified routine services in alignment with established protocols and under the guidance of supervisory staff.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Resident Care Assistant, your duties will include:
- Supporting housekeeping and laundry operations, including tasks such as trash disposal and preparing unoccupied beds.
- Facilitating meal service by assisting residents with transportation to and from the dining area, delivering trays, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
- Responding promptly to resident call lights and ensuring regular checks on residents who may be unable to call for assistance.
- Assisting with one-on-one observations as required.
- Maintaining open communication with the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse regarding any changes in resident conditions, concerns, or grievances.
- Providing excellent customer service, companionship, and engagement in various activities.
- Supporting clinical staff in ensuring resident comfort, including tasks such as checking seating positions and providing hydration.
- Assisting with personal care tasks in accordance with state regulations.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
0-1 years in a related field
Licenses and Certifications:
No specific certifications required
