About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at CHAS Health. As a key member of our oral health care team, you will play a vital role in improving the overall health of our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dental cleanings, scalings, and prophylaxis under the supervision of a Dentist.
  • Apply preventive materials to teeth, including sealants and fluoride.
  • Administer local anesthesia and place permanent and provisional restorations.
  • Perform x-rays as needed and record evaluations of oral condition on dental charts.
  • Provide oral hygiene instructions, dietary advice, and information about necessary dental care.
  • Support dental providers and other clinical staff, including sterilization.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of provider productivity standards.
  • Represent CHAS Health at conferences, meetings, and continuing education programs.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program required.
  • Previous experience in a community dental clinic preferred.
  • Valid hygienist licensure from Washington State Department of Health or Idaho Board of Dentistry required at time of hire.
  • Ability to secure credentialing through identified agencies (Medicaid, etc.)
  • Idaho clinics: Must have or be eligible to obtain an extended access dental hygiene restorative endorsement through the Idaho Board of Dentistry within 1 year of hire.
