Job Description

At Jefferies, we are seeking a highly skilled Investment Banking Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Global Healthcare Group, you will play a critical role in supporting the Life Sciences team across the Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Technology, and Tools and Diagnostics sectors.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate in the execution of equity and debt financings, M&A, and restructuring and recapitalization transactions
  2. Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies' analyses
  3. Prepare pitch books and live deal materials, including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses
  4. Analyze detailed corporate and financial information, as well as conduct due diligence
  5. Build financial operating models and valuation models
  6. Conduct industry and product research
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  2. Currently living in New York, or willing to relocate
  3. 3+ years of investment banking experience ideally in a Healthcare (Life Sciences) coverage or in a M&A product team
  4. Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  5. Ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
  6. Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously and a team player
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills
  8. Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills
What We Offer

Jefferies offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $225,000, as well as an annual discretionary incentive and retention bonus, competitive employee benefits, including medical, dental & vision coverage; 401(k); life, accident, and disability insurance; and wellness programs. We also offer paid time off packages that include planned time off (vacation), unplanned time off (sick leave), and paid holidays and paid parental leave.
