We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Associate to join our research team at the Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects focused on unraveling the molecular, cellular, and behavioral mechanisms underlying G Protein Coupled Receptor (GPCR) signaling pathways and their role in nervous system function and neuropsychiatric disease.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of GPCR biology and signaling
- Design and execute experiments to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms of GPCR signaling and trafficking
- Develop and use optical sensors to understand neuromodulation
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify novel GPCR regulators and develop new therapeutic strategies
- Present research findings at national and international conferences
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g. biology, chemistry, pharmacology)
- Strong background in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, or a related field
- Excellent research skills and experience with GPCR biology and signaling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with optical sensors and neuromodulation
- Background in bioinformatics and computational biology
- Publication record in top-tier scientific journals
