Position Overview

SAIC's National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, within the USG Mission and Information Technology Division, specializes in delivering innovative solutions and services that drive digital transformation initiatives. Our focus areas include systems engineering, multi-cloud environments, cybersecurity, data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.

We are in search of dedicated Web Engineers to become integral members of our team. In this role, you will utilize your technical skills to design, develop, test, and maintain websites and content that enhance the flow of information and facilitate effective communication between NSA/CSS and its clientele for a significant five-year project. As a Web Engineer, you will collaborate with management and IT professionals to gather and clarify requirements, assess these requirements to identify the most suitable web technologies to meet client needs, and coordinate the assembly and integration of essential technology components into a cohesive site design. Furthermore, you will apply your expertise to develop, test, maintain, and support high-performance, cutting-edge web applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhering to a structured design process that complies with laws, standards, and established guidelines for the development and delivery of the final web product.
  • Creating visually appealing, content-rich, and user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation.
  • Managing configuration control (CM).
  • Ensuring the functionality of a user-accessible website and coding less complex sites using HTML, Visual Basic, or other web programming languages.
  • Documenting the technical requirements of the website.
  • Maintaining technical documentation to assist with website upkeep and enhancements.
  • Employing a variety of internet technologies, techniques, and tools, including graphics software applications and object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Java, CGI, Visual Basic, HTML, and XML) to develop web page elements, such as user interface features, site animations, special effects, databases, and e-business applications.
  • Independently managing more complex projects.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is mandatory for all skill levels.
  • Years of relevant experience and education:
  • Full performance level: Minimum of four (4) years of web development experience and a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Four (4) additional years of web development experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Senior level: Minimum of eight (8) years of web development experience and a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Four (4) additional years of web development experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Proven experience in analyzing and resolving complex software issues, providing solutions with the latest technologies.
  • Experience in integrating new web products with existing applications to enhance the functionality or design of the organization's website.
