This position plays a critical role in the success of clinical trials at Yale University. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing business and technical requirements to define the scope and objectives for new or existing clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities- Develop project charters and clarify project scope, requirements, measurable outcomes, and project benefits in collaboration with process owners.
- Document business processes using standard process modeling tools and process improvement methodologies.
- Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and manage the development of functional specifications.
- Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models, prototypes, or scenarios.
- Lead requirements analysis and verification to ensure that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.
- Contribute to testing and quality assurance processes and collaborate with developers and end-users to ensure that application functionality meets client needs.
- Responsible for requirements prioritization and solution risk analysis.
- Plan and communicate departmental readiness plans and support metrics integration and execution for optimal results.
- Develop and deliver training to end-users.
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field.
- Four years of related experience in analysis of business needs and development of related business systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability with using clinical trial systems, protocol tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex technical details and communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to use analytical and quantitative skills and diagnostic techniques to resolve problems.
- Bachelor's degree in health informatics, business, or computer science.
- Knowledge of clinical trials process/practices, managing clinical trials data, and reporting clinical trials results.
No weekend or evening hours are required for this position.
No drug screen or health screening is required for this position.
All candidates for employment will be subject to pre-employment background screening for this position.
