This role serves as a facilitator of technology solutions for various properties within the Davidson Hospitality Group (DHG) portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:
The Area Technology Operations Manager is tasked with managing all technology-related services across assigned properties.

This includes a diverse range of establishments throughout the United States, from branded hotels to independent resorts.

The core responsibilities encompass collaboration with managed service providers in the following areas:

• Project Coordination

• IT Strategic Planning

• Property Engagement

• Brand Technology Compliance

• Vendor Relations

• Asset Oversight

• Support Management

• Capacity Planning

• Financial Management of Technology

• Cybersecurity

• Regulatory Compliance


Moreover, this position will guide hotel management and recommend innovative technology applications to enhance property operations.


Specific Duties Include:
• Lead the execution of initiatives across the assigned portfolio, focusing on effective and transparent delivery.

• Formulate an IT strategy for the properties that aligns with the overarching business objectives and property standards.


• Serve as the technology liaison for property and ownership teams, providing insights and support for all technology initiatives.

• Collaborate with brand leaders to ensure property services meet brand specifications and standards.

• Advise independent properties on effective technology standards based on their unique needs.


• Coordinate with technology providers to maximize value for the properties, including software vendors and managed service providers.


• Maintain a precise inventory of all technology assets and manage replacements as required by brand standards.

• Act as a point of escalation for significant incidents impacting property operations.

• Oversee service capacity and recommend enhancements as necessary.

• Ensure financial transparency for all in-property technology services.

• Develop and maintain performance scorecards for properties in line with established key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Coordinate the preparation of annual property budgets (both capital and operational).

• Provide tools and visibility for properties to manage their overall technology costs.

• Lead the technology aspects of hotel transitions into the DHG management portfolio.

• Drive brand conversion efforts across the entire property portfolio.

• Establish and maintain effective business continuity and disaster recovery plans for all managed properties.

• Implement and sustain the property's cybersecurity framework.

• Collaborate with property leadership to develop solutions that enhance guest satisfaction through technology.

• Manage relationships with all technology partners on behalf of the properties.

• Engage with various stakeholders, including:

• Property Steering Committee – consisting of the Hotel General Manager and their direct reports.

• DHG Regional Leadership (operations, finance, human resources, marketing).

• DHG Corporate IT Leadership

Qualifications:
The Area Technology Operations Manager should be an innovative, passionate, and collaborative leader with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate must effectively manage technology services in a multi-unit environment.

• A minimum of 7 years of technology experience in fast-paced, multi-location business models is preferred.

• A solid understanding of hospitality technology is highly desirable.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic organization and adapt to changing priorities.

• Proficient in project management with the capability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex challenges.

• Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering outstanding results.

• Comprehensive knowledge of project budgets in hospitality settings.

• A solid grasp of networking and distributed computing concepts.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage across all organizational levels.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organization in a fast-paced work environment.

• A heightened sense of urgency due to the nature of the hospitality industry.

• Good conceptual understanding of full-service hotel operations.

• A collaborative mindset with a focus on ethical practices.

• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new concepts.

• Involvement in long-range planning for new projects and facilities.

• In-depth technical knowledge of current hardware and networking technologies.

• Ability to travel as required (estimated 25-40%).

• A Bachelor's Degree and/or technical degree(s) are preferred. Technology-related certifications are a plus.
