Middle School Spanish Educator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Middle School Spanish Educator to join our team at Foundation Academies in Trenton, New Jersey.

Foundation Academies is a free public charter school serving over 1,000 scholars across three schools on two campuses. Our mission is to ensure that all of our students secure the academic knowledge and skills to prepare them for the nation's finest colleges, and to instill in them the core values of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,500-$90,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefit plans, tax-deferred 403b retirement account with 25% matching up to a certain amount, free financial wellness advising through Spring Financial, optional short or long-term disability benefits through Aflac, regular strategic professional development and coaching, career advancement opportunities, smartphone and fully paid wireless plan through T-Mobile, Windows-based laptop, regular team-building activities and outings, 10 sick days and 3 personal days that roll over annually, and 30 paid holiday observances.
Job Description:
- Maintain and organize materials and equipment to ensure a smooth learning environment.
- Ensure mastery of content knowledge and participate in school and organization-wide family events.
- Provide individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and engage scholars.
- Model how to be a contributing community member by consistently demonstrating the characteristics of an FA employee with high levels of emotional intelligence and strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills to foster a sense of belonging and high performance in the classroom.
- Create a structured and progressive learning experience for scholars of different ages and skill levels.
Requirements:
- 2+ years working in an urban or low-income setting preferred.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
- Possess or be eligible for NJ certification in 5-8 Spanish or Teacher of Spanish.
- Must have a track record of measurable success and achievement.
