Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at HW Staffing Solutions in Bangor, ME. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precision machining operations to produce high-quality parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' related machine tool trade experience and experience with horizontal milling machines. They will also have the ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and routings, as well as knowledge of proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and making mechanical adjustments and repairs as needed, and inspecting products to blueprint specifications.

The successful candidate will also have experience with rigging using large bridge cranes and the ability to program on the machine using Fanuc control.

Essential qualities for this role include outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for maintaining specifications by observing machine operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

The ideal candidate will also have experience with large lathe operations and the ability to set up CNC lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, and stops using appropriate gauges and fixtures.
