Under the guidance of the Director of Dining Services, Assistant Director, or Chef, the Culinary Services Support Specialist will undertake various essential tasks within the Dining Services Department. Responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with team members to prepare and serve meals for residents.
  2. Providing post-meal services, including clearing and returning trays to designated areas.
  3. Operating and loading dishwashing machines, along with hand washing items as necessary.
  4. Returning clean dishes and utensils to their proper locations.
  5. Maintaining cleanliness in work areas, including tables, cabinets, and food preparation equipment.
  6. Storing food and supplies as instructed.
  7. Preparing and assembling food for standard and modified diets as directed.
  8. Adhering to safety, fire, and sanitation protocols.
  9. Assisting in food preparation tasks, such as salads and baked goods, while applying safe food handling techniques.
  10. Initiating meal preparation under the supervision of the Cook or Dining Services Manager.
  11. Utilizing perception skills to assess food quality and safety.
  12. Managing inventory and stocking food items for meal preparation.
  13. Conducting general cleaning of kitchen and serving areas, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
  14. Following established protocols and documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
