We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Morningside Health Services. As a leading provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.
Job Summary:Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients for a shift of duty. The RN provides nursing care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care, adhering to the standards of care for the area and managing the environment to maintain resident/patient safety.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents/patients, including assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
- Supervise nursing assistants and helpers to ensure resident/patient care activities are performed safely and effectively.
- Manage the environment to maintain resident/patient safety, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all North Shore's policies and procedures, as well as the State Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards.
- Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current CPR certification.
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment, including feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.
- Able to calculate drug dosage.
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law.
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
