Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Sheboygan. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced clinical care to neonates and high-risk infants, working closely with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily care of neonates and high-risk infants, including delivery room management, advanced physical assessment, and evaluation of laboratory and clinical data.
- Collaborate with physicians and other team members to provide comprehensive care, including consulting and collaborating on patient care plans.
- Act as the primary patient and physician contact, facilitating access to specialty teams and ensuring continuity of care.
- Provide complex care coordination, including managing ancillary services, pre-operative plans, discharge planning, and provider referrals.
- Prescribe, recommend, and regulate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications.
- Order, perform, and interpret procedures, diagnostic tests, or studies to manage complex neonatal illnesses or conditions.
- Provide parental and family support and education on physical and mental health, including disease management, home care skills, and health behaviors.
- Interpret and evaluate patient data, adjusting patient care plans as needed, and preparing and signing patient care plans and summaries.
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (NNP-BC) issued by the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)/American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, managing multiple demands and prioritizing effectively. The successful candidate will be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday, and will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids.
