The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking an experienced and dynamic Physician (Primary Care) Floater to join our team. Responsibilities- Assumes responsibility for assignment of examinations to various providers and coordinates all diagnostic testing in preparation for evaluation.
- Promotes an atmosphere of efficiency and accuracy in the timeliness of submission of completed documents.
- Assumes care for acutely ill patients who need stabilization and referral to the next level of care either in the community or to The Bruce Carter VA in Miami, FL.
- Develops guidelines for training new providers who will be contracted into the program.
- Assists in problem resolution of complex cases and communicates with the ACOS/Ambulatory Care on final decisions.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate data capture in VISN-wide reports.
- Responsible for the clinical performance measures on quality and access.
- Supervises medical students or physician residents (including fellows).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Must have a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Must have a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Must have completed a residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty Family Practice or an Internal Medicine Residency Training Program leading to eligibility for board certification.

Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm.
