The Manufacturing Associate role is an entry-level position with significant growth potential. This role focuses on the packaging of finished film products for the food sector, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
This position offers comprehensive full-time benefits while averaging 15 working days per month. Key Responsibilities:
- Transport film rolls onto pallets using an overhead hoist. Secure rolls with strapping bands, ensuring proper patterns and tightening with banding tools. These tasks require frequent bending, crouching, and working at floor level. Candidates must be able to move from standing to squatting repeatedly.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. consistently without assistance.
- Perform basic math calculations, read scales for weighing rolls, and utilize standard tape measures to meet quality standards.
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift and pallet jack (training provided).
- Adhere to safety procedures, follow PPE requirements, and report any incidents or injuries immediately.
- Utilize computers for reading and responding to company communications and performing daily data entry tasks.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, demonstrating teamwork to achieve production goals. Contribute positively to the work environment by embodying Taghleef's core values of integrity, respect, and trust.
- Carry out assigned Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) activities, such as cleaning and waste removal.
- Maintain good personal hygiene practices, including regular bathing and wearing clean clothing to work.
- Report any known or discovered contamination or food safety risks to the direct supervisor immediately.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality (no absences during the initial probationary period).
- Successful completion of required New Hire Training Academy.
- Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or fast-paced production line.
- Ability to work a 3-day rotating 12-hour shift and overtime as required.
- Demonstrated commitment to succeed and grow within the company.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
