This role involves collaborating with the QC Manager to guarantee that the concrete products manufactured at various sites adhere to the highest quality standards and meet regulatory specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a solid understanding of ACI, ASTM, DOT, and regional standards and specifications.
  • Ensure that all concrete products meet stringent quality standards and comply with applicable agency specifications.
  • Maintain adherence to governmental regulations and corporate QC/QA policies relevant to the assigned area.
  • Participate in the company safety program and promote safe working practices across all operational areas as part of the management team.
  • Verify that all manufactured products fulfill company and industry standards as well as customer specifications before delivery.
  • Oversee continuous plant certification with NRMCA, ACI, and DOTD.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the plant Quality Systems Manual (QSM) in line with industry standards and market expectations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for plant audit nonconformance and customer complaints; devise and implement suitable corrective actions.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, problem-solving skills, creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster teamwork.
  • Work effectively in a diverse environment with employees at all levels.
  • Commit to cultivating a positive workplace culture.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff involved in inspection and testing to ensure high productivity and technical integrity.
  • Develop, train, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for all Quality Control activities.
  • Engage in all plant inspections, including those by management, clients, and regulatory compliance agencies.
  • Travel to job sites as necessary to assess and report on finished quality.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control and assurance within the concrete industry.
  • Proven knowledge of raw materials and concrete batching processes.
  • Prior supervisory experience to support the training and development of QC Technicians.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Forms.
  • Experience in developing and optimizing concrete mix designs for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • ACI Certified or DOTD Certified (PCC Tech) or a willingness to obtain certification within 90 days.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
