Job Description

Job Summary:

Keville Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to serve as an owner/agency representative on public agency projects in the Boston area. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management and oversight of the construction contractor, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with construction contract plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and oversight of the construction contractor
  • Help manage field inspectors' duties
  • Ensure compliance with approved quality control plan
  • Support project safety plan
  • Coordinate requirements of the owner/agency
  • Review contractor's schedule updates
  • Review contractor's requests for payment
  • Review and process contractor submittals
  • Lead weekly project status meetings
  • Attend other meetings as required
  • Review reports for cost, schedule, budget, inspection, submittal status, change order status, and other reports
  • Develop various project-related reports
  • Analyze, estimate, and support negotiation of change orders
  • Resolve construction problems/conflicts
  • Manage and lead field office staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of resident engineering and/or office engineering experience, preferably on highway and bridge construction
  • Certifications in welding, concrete, and/or other quality control tasks are preferred
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse personality types
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with program management systems (Sharepoint), Excel, and Power Point

Additional Information:

  • Must have a satisfactory driving record
  • OSHA 10 certification is required
  • This position is exempt under the FLSA
