Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter II - Trade Credit to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing key relationships with brokers and clients, reviewing complex transactions, and developing strong relationships to grow our trade credit business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to grow our trade credit business
  • Underwrite large and complex insurance submissions, negotiate policy terms and conditions, and analyze domestic and international corporate credits
  • Recommend or approve credit limits and terms, and professionally maintain and service an existing book of trade credit insurance business
  • Market, sell, and present to brokers and insureds to increase submission flow, and engage in various underwriting and marketing projects to improve overall company results
  • Meet operating and audit guidelines and goals of senior management, and participate in and complete special projects as required by the profit center
Requirements
  • Experience in credit or financial analysis, with 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred
  • Strong commercial development skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Cap IQ, Salesforce, and Factiva, and solid organizational skills
  • MBA preferred, and second language proficiency valued
  • Banking or other credit analysis experience a plus
