Clinical Research Nurse Job Description

Amergis is seeking a skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating clinical research studies, monitoring activities at clinical study sites, and ensuring compliance with protocol and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate clinical research studies conducted by a supervising principle investigator
  • Monitor activities at clinical study sites to assure adherence to GCP's, SOP's, and study protocols
  • Ensure compliance with protocol and all regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines during clinical study by training/guiding investigators and study coordinators
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with the health and safety policies
  • Ensure timely collection of all clinical study documents
  • Ensure that human resources, equipment, supplies, documentation, and training are in place and effective at each clinical trial site
  • Perform clinical set-up and preparation for the study, including labeling specimen collection tubes and containers, setting up equipment and documents, and study participant education and preparation
  • Screen study participants for inclusion in study based on pre-determined criteria, may perform patient care during the research study
  • Perform other duties as assigned/necessary

Requirements:

  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in research studies preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work in a start-up environment
  • Must work independently and in a team environment
  • Effective time management and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously are essential
  • Demonstrate skills in analyzing and creative problem-solving
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
