Vail Resorts is seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef in maintaining high-quality food preparation, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
  • Understand and operate kitchen equipment, tools, and accessories to ensure efficient food preparation and training of other kitchen staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of current menu items and their ingredients to provide excellent service to our guests.
  • Prep ingredients and maintain par levels for demand to minimize waste and ensure a smooth kitchen operation.
  • Monitor food waste and maintain inventory of ingredients using a first-in-first-out method.

Requirements:

  • Culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience; supervisory kitchen experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, practices, and food safety; ServSafe certifications a plus.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work well and communicate with others in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
