This role is intended for a professional in Industrial Engineering, tasked with enhancing processes and workflows across global Avionics Aftermarket repair facilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or support CORE events such as 5S, workflow optimization, standard work, and material handling improvements.
- Evaluate space utilization and offer strategic guidance for current and future operational needs.
- Prepare and oversee the creation of site layouts to facilitate new capabilities or modifications.
- Manage significant construction and reconfiguration projects for Avionics Aftermarket Service Centers globally.
- Collaborate with Facilities personnel to prioritize Aftermarket needs while adhering to budgetary constraints and policies.
- Oversee policies and procedures related to Avionics Aftermarket repair processes.
- Direct Return to Service Efficiency initiatives aimed at reducing costs and enhancing profitability.
- Provide analytical support to repair locations for establishing repair targets.
- Facilitate the sharing of best practices across all repair sites.
- Conduct research on innovative processes, methods, and equipment to inform acquisition recommendations.
- Perform work sampling studies and analyses to propose enhancements in operational effectiveness.
- Support major modification programs using line balancing techniques and capacity forecasting tools.
- Engage in special projects that support the Avionics Aftermarket footprint and work transfer initiatives.
- Estimate project costs and timelines, contributing to proposal and presentation preparations.
- Develop new strategies and techniques to foster continuous improvement.
- Work independently on complex tasks.
- A University Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Background in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in process improvement or CORE methodologies.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Experience with ECAR systems.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools.
- Financial acumen including business case development, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of EH&S, Security, Quality, and Regulatory requirements.
