Job Title: RN - Behavioral Health Regional Float Pool

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team as a Regional Float Pool RN. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient's status through interview, observation, and physical assessment of actual problems and outcomes.
  • Develop an individualized plan of care using a collaborative approach with the patient/family and healthcare team.
  • Use appropriate interventions identified in the plan of care to achieve expected patient outcomes.
  • Systematically evaluate and document patient's progress toward expected outcomes/goals on an ongoing basis throughout the shift.
  • Modify plan of care based on evaluation and as needed based on changes in patient condition.
  • Complete required documentation as appropriate, including patient chart and event reports.

Requirements:

  • College Diploma in Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License Current licensure in good standing in the State of Illinois upon hire and Basic Life Support (BLS) Must possess and maintain current within 30 days and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must possess and maintain current within 1 year and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must possess and maintain current upon hire or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) Provider within 1 year and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Must possess and maintain current within 3 years.

Work Environment:

Coordinates the interdisciplinary care of the patient through collaboration with team members and utilizes additional resources when necessary.

Education Focus:

Assesses and chooses teaching strategies appropriate to the patient's/family's age-specific needs.
