Mammography Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mammographer to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As a Mammographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams, ensuring accurate diagnoses, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct mammography exams, including screening and diagnostic procedures, to ensure optimal image quality and accurate diagnoses.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, risks, and benefits, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
- Position patients to achieve optimal image quality and select appropriate data and techniques to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- View images on display screens to ensure quality and accuracy, and perform quality control procedures to maintain high standards.
- Prepare images and compile studies for radiologists, relaying all relevant information.
- Maintain and clean work areas and equipment, and replenish supplies as needed.
- Assist in the reception area and perform department assessments, as assigned.
- ARRT Registry in Mammography, IEMA.
- 40 hours of advanced training in an MQSA approved program with 50 supervised exams in mammography.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent.
- BLS through American Heart Association.
- Bachelor's Degree.
